TREE-mendous adventure this summer at the Peebles Outdoor Film Festival!

We are delighted to be part of the adventure magic at the fabulous Peebles Outdoor Film Festival for this special Summer 2021 edition! The festival inspires, educates and enthrals us about wild spaces, places and people and based at Peebles Eastgate Theatre there are also all kinds of great outdoor activities including, new for 2021, some awesome tree climbing!

Each year POFF is full of beautiful stories of adventure with achievement in the face of adversity and incredible determination. At the centre of every film is nature, a nature that now needs our help more than ever. Partnering with POFF also makes us feel part of a fabulous outdoor community, both local and global, and the films dazzle, delight and inspire in equal measure. In January last year I was inspired to try this wild swimming thing that everyone is raving about and wow, it has been a great revelation to explore familiar places in new ways and making fantastic memories with friends, happy days!!

This year you can join us on an adventure as you climb high into the tree canopy above the stunning gardens of Traquair House.

Rise to the challenge with our fabulous One Hour Tree Climbing Experience. Once kitted out in our safety equipment we’ll give you a short demo, then off you go. And whenever you want, breathe in to feel nature all around you to discover the magic of Tree Time in one of Scotland’s most historic and beautiful places.

We return to Traquair’s Towering Oak for the final time this season for a last chance to climb right up into the hammock for ace views over the fields and grounds. Birds are always a treat and we get to share the canopy with Nuthatch, Woodpecker, Treecreeper, Sparrowhawk, Siskin and Crossbills plus the occasional fly-over from an Ospreys shouting for mum to hurry up and bring it a fish! Don a harness and climb high into the canopy on a one-hour tree climbing experience in the stunning gardens of Traquair House. Climb at your own pace with expert guided instruction throughout. A wonderful experience for all ages!
